What you should know before you book me...
I pretty much fall in love with all my couples. I love hearing about their love story, even when it isn't necessarily a fairy-tale. I love hearing about how they just sit around and play video games, watch The Office or love ordering Chinese take out. I live for the moments when a bride and groom open up and are vulnerable. I am pretty reserved in real life and cherish my quiet family times BUT when I get to be a part of someone else's family for the day and peek into their most intimate moments... It just doesn't feel real that I am lucky enough to call this my JOB. My favorite part of the day is feeling like I made the day better by helping the bride or groom with some silly task. Like putting an earring in, pulling up a chair for the mother of the groom or just telling the couple to take time to do whatever they want for a few minutes without having to feel picture ready 100% of the time. I want to see those moments in between posing and smiling for guests when you relax and just feel the fact that you JUST GOT MARRIED. It's surreal that sometimes I get to be the first person to say "Kiss your husband/wife"..
Anyway, what I really want you to know is...
I want to be your BEST FRIEND/PERSONAL ASSISTANT/PHOTOGRAPHER for the most special day of your life. I will do anything to put you at ease and give you something beautiful to look back on.
And because I know you have some practical questions that need to be answered, here are some FAQ's you may have!
My fiance/partner and I feel awkward in front of the camera! Is that OK?
YES OF COURSE! I focus on creating unposed moments so you can look back and remember the feeling you had on your wedding day. OBVI we will get the posed pics with the family for Grandma's wall BUT the portraits of you two will make you relive that day and feeling every time you look back at them!
Can you photoshop people into the pictures? Or remove my double chin/arms/belly?
Unfortunately no. This is a-whole-nother ball game. I do not have the technical training(or the time) to do this. I will, however, help out with a little blemish on your face, as well as editing the lighting/white balance etc. If you want to see what it takes to do this with one photo, watch this vid:
What is required for booking?
I require a signed contract and a 40% deposit. The remainder is due one month prior to your wedding
What form of payment do you accept?
I accept check, cash or credit card. All wedding coverage is subject to WA sales tax to be added to the total price and is not included in the prices listed above.
Do your packages include engagement sessions?
Each package is custom tailored to your needs, so we can DEFINITELY add this to your package!
Can I see a whole wedding that you photographed?
Yes! Please let me know and I can send you a gallery from a recent wedding!
Can I post the photos on social media?
YES!! Please do! However, please DO NOT alter these photos with filters, drastic cropping etc. I took a lot of time and effort to craft these photos and would appreciate my work not being edited. Also, please tag me! Social media is a great place for me to find new clients through word of mouth.
How do you deliver our images?
I use an online gallery delivery called Cloudspot. This cloud-based viewing/delivery gallery allows you download one image at a time or your entire gallery.
How many photos do we get from our wedding?
It really all depends on the whole day, if you have only myself or two photographers, if you have a large number of formal family photos if we have lots of time for bride and groom photos. I give between 30-50 per hour, so most of my couples end up with 300-500 photos.
Can I have access to all the photos you take?
Unfortunately, I do not release every photo taken. I carefully select to best from photos from your session, take the time to edit, then deliver. The photos not selected are unfinished and unrefined and I don't want that to take away from the photos I spent so much time crafting.
Will I have print rights to my photos?
All my clients receive a print release from me giving you the rights to print your images for personal use only. This release will allow you to print your images at any printing service or print house in the world as you desire. This does not include editing or altering the final images you receive.
Where do you recommend getting our images printed at?
I always recommend is Mpix.com there quality is great. Places I DON’T recommend any print station located inside an actual store, Costco, Walmart or Shutterfly. These locations use cheap paper and their machines are not calibrated for correct color.
Where are you located and do you travel?
I’m based out of my home in Lake Tapps, WA. I travel up to 50 miles from 98391 without a travel fee. This will normally cover from Olympia to Seattle. Yes, I do travel, I would love to shoot your destination wedding or event!
